Job Title: AI Engineering Lead

Location: Remote (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Join Unifonic as an AI Engineering Lead, where you’ll lead a team of engineers, actively contribute to building software, and drive innovation in communication and engagement solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, ensuring best practices while managing your team’s development process.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers.
• Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to plan and prioritize work.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural principles.
• Facilitate continuous learning and growth within the team.
• Tackle challenges, risks, and opportunities for system improvements.

Job requirements:

• 7+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in SMSC gateways and SMPP protocol.
• 5+ years of experience in Python, Go, or Java and database management (MySQL, Cassandra).
• Experience with high-volume solutions and queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
